Anna Mary Coburn is a child protection expert for USAID. She is currently a Senior Advisor, Children & Youth in Conflict and has over fifteen years experience with children's issues as legal advisor for the U.S. Department of State and as a Foreign Service Officer (FSO) with USAID. She heads up a Child Safeguarding Working Group to create a partner toolkit on child safeguarding provisions applicable to implementing partner awards and agreements. She has graduated from the University of Maryland Law School and is admitted to the Bars of Maryland, District of Columbia, and Virginia and has completed the University of Geneva's Children's Rights certificate program. She has served overseas in Kenya, Iraq, and Pakistan and worked in Rwanda, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Burundi.
