James Grant Opiyo is an Ag Board Chair at Invisible women Uganda, where he provides leadership in shaping organisational direction, policy formulation, and enforcement, lead in the development of strategic planning and management of organisational resources, oversees programme development and management, lead the fundraising activities and resource mobilization, developing networks and partnerships, ensure institutional strengthening, and capacity building.
Grant also works with TPO Uganda in rehabilitating people with psychological distress, advocating for peaceful coexistence and tolerance, so that people live in peace and harmony, as well as improving socio-economic well-being of people in post conflict Northern part of Uganda.
He has also worked with reputable non-governmental organisations, including Pace Uganda, Straight Talk foundation, ARC International, Radio Rupiny in Gulu and New Vision(Vision Group), among others. Grant helps victims and survivors recover from psychological anguish, supports them with business skills, and income generating activities that help empower them to cope with economic hardship.
