About this Speaker

Douglas is a senior research officer at the Institute of Child Protection Studies, Australian Catholic University. Douglas manages the Children and Young People’s Safety Project ( that focuses on engaging youth-serving organisations in research which supports the prevention and appropriate response to child sexual abuse. Using data visualisation to support impactful research, Douglas is passionate about supporting the wellbeing, mental health and safety of children and young people. He is also a PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne, where his research focuses on cognition during adolescence.
